New Additions To The GI Bill

New GI BILL Coming soon

Many of us know that when we signed up for the military, the GI Bill was not going to pay for everything, but rather give us a nice offset to the rising cost of college tuition.

The Basic Package

The GI Bill has been around since the end of World War II. At that time nearly two-million veterans took advantage of it. Of course, the cost of going to college was a lot cheaper then and the dollar went a little further. The current GI Bill (otherwise called the Montgomery GI BILL, or MGIB for all you military acronym enthusiasts out there) is the main source of education benefits for the military. It pays up to 36 months of tuition assistance and you have 10 years after you get of active service to use it.

There are a lot of rumors going around about a new and improved GI Bill. The following outlines the new features of the upcoming reform to the GI Bill. This “Post-9/11″ GI Bill will knock your socks off.
