Weekly Roundup: IKE is supposed to rain on me edition

By eric | Sep 13, 2008

I’m stocked with water but I doubt I will feel any of the effects of hurricane IKE. Watching the news Houston and Galveston seem to be a lot worse off then us. As it looks we will get the outer edge of the hurricane and only see high winds and rain. I’m glad because 1) it gives me a reason to stay on the computer all weekend and 2) I won’t need to utilize my water for the lawn!

Here are the articles that caught my eye this week which has been crazy. One of Kristin’s articles was featured on MSN.com Smart Money Blog and was also featured on the editors picks of MSN Money. This bought in over 55,000 page impressions earlier this week and over 100 new subscribers to the blog via RSS. I hope the new subscribers are enjoying the articles and continue to read what we provide. If you are new and have yet to subscribe to Twenties Money Magazine go ahead and do so now! SUBSCRIBE

My parents live in between Houston and Galveston, but thankfully they were able to evacuate from the area and stay with some friends who live north of Houston. They’ve gotten a lot of wind and rain, but nothing like what Galveston and the surrounding areas are seeing. I wish everyone out there the best. This is going to be a nasty storm…

Thanks for the mention. Glad to hear that you won’t get the worst part of the storm.
